1. Acceptance

By installing or using 2doc ("the app"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the app. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Handrolled Apps, the app's developer ("we", "us").

2. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on Android devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and the Google Play Terms of Service.

You may not: copy, modify, or distribute the app; reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code; sublicense or sell access to the app; or use the app in any way that violates applicable law.

3. Pro access

Certain features are locked behind a one-time purchase ("Pro"). Once purchased, Pro access is granted permanently with no recurring charges.

• Billing. Your Google Play account is charged once at the price shown at the time of purchase.
• No subscription. Pro access does not auto-renew. There are no recurring fees.
• Refunds. Refund requests are handled by Google Play in accordance with their refund policy. We do not process refunds directly.
• Device transfer. Your purchase is tied to your Google Play account and can be restored on any device signed in to that account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not use the app to:

• Access, export, or back up data belonging to another person without their explicit consent.
• Restore a backup onto a device you do not own or control.
• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right (including privacy rights).
• Interfere with or disrupt any service the app depends on (e.g. Telegram's API).
• Attempt to circumvent purchase verification or licensing mechanisms.

5. Third-party services

The app integrates with third-party services including Telegram, Firebase (Google), and RevenueCat. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.

If you turn on link previews when importing messages, the app also retrieves the title, description, and preview image of the websites linked in those messages, and embeds them in your document. That content belongs to the sites it comes from; we do not control it, do not check it, and are not responsible for it or for the practices of those sites. The option is off unless you turn it on.

If you turn on voice transcription when importing a Telegram chat, the transcription is performed by Telegram, on Telegram's servers, and is metered against your own Telegram Premium subscription or free-trial allowance — turning the option on can consume it. Whether a given account or message can be transcribed at all is Telegram's decision, not ours. We do not control the accuracy of a transcript and are not responsible for it. The option is off unless you turn it on.

6. Intellectual property

All rights, title, and interest in the app — including its design, code, and branding — are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights in the app other than the limited license in Section 2.

Content you export using the app (your messages, documents, PDFs, and backup files) remains yours. We claim no ownership over content generated from your data.

7. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected. We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or legality of any data exported by the app.

Backups and restores. The Backup & Restore feature puts you in control, which also means:

• Safekeeping. You are responsible for the backup files you create or share and for any password you set. If you lose the password to an encrypted backup, it cannot be recovered — by you or by us.
• Verify and keep copies. Check that a backup contains what you expect before relying on it, and keep separate copies of data you cannot afford to lose. We do not warrant that a backup can be restored on a different device, Android version, or app version.
• Default SMS app. Restoring messages requires temporarily setting 2doc as your default SMS app. The document builder's conversation picker also offers the same temporary switch, optionally, so that conversations Android hides from non-default apps can be included in a document. While 2doc holds the role, by either path, it cannot send messages; incoming texts are still received and saved to your phone, but picture messages (MMS) that arrive during this window may not be saved. Switch your usual SMS app back when you are done — the app will prompt you.
• Restore adds only. Restore writes entries into your phone's message store or call log, skipping duplicates. It does not delete or modify existing entries.

Documents. The same applies to the documents you export: you are responsible for the PDF files you create, share, or print, and for any password you set on a shared copy. If you lose the password to a password-protected copy, that copy cannot be opened or recovered — by you or by us. Applying a watermark permanently alters that document's file and cannot be undone.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of privacy, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the app will not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date will be updated accordingly. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. Where required by law, we will seek your explicit consent.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Ukraine, unless mandatory local consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.
